  9.  @kasiab4247   @M S Every nation creates myths to valorise themselves. This must be one for the Polish. Ask any non-polish european and tell him Poland significantly helped Britain in the Battle of Britain and he will laugh at you. But from what I read here, it seems like that is polish people’s believe. Poland did not do more than some african countries for Britain or even greater nations such as Australia, New Zealand ect... who all came willingly to fight for Britain. Poland was defeated and occupied. So it had no choice but to keep fighting to exist. That fight could be at home or overseas or in the moon. It does not matter. She's not fighting to help the ''overseasians'' or the ''moonians'' but to help Poland and the Polish people. It ought not to be difficult to understand. This continued fighting overseas or in the ‘’moon’’ kept Poland and the Polish people in the war and on the path to freedom. It kept the Polish soldiers experienced and motivated. So basically, it's all about the Polish people and the eventual freedom of Poland. From what we studied at school here in France, Britain gathered some remnants of Polish people and ex-soldiers, trained them, fed them, clothed them, housed them...all to keep Poland in the game. All these at the Brit’s expense. Polish people should be grateful rather than whine and point accusing fingers at their helpers. Polish minor presence in Britain and continued fighting on the western side after being conquered plus Britain’s backing kept Poland relevant after the war. These factors won her territories at the bargaining table which otherwise she should and would not have gotten. After France was conquered, our minor forces fighting with Britain all over Europe and in North Africa were not fighting for Britain but for France and its liberation and its eventual victory.
