Arun Sathyan Geeh, dummy, I'm French. And why do you call do you say, ''bastard russia'' ? You are now insulting your country ?
BTW, russia considers China an ally not India that is considered just a friend. That's why russia supplies weapons to Pakistan and China knowing very well those weapons are meant to be used against India and to slaughters Indian civilians. In the West, we do not supply weapons to countries that can use them against our close allies.
A while back, during the bloody Deklan crisis that cost the precious lives of many valiant indian soldiers , russia stopped the delivery of some types weapons to India that India had ordered and this was at the express demand of China. Russia obeyed China and let India down at the most critical moment. Wow. This is something we in the West cannot do against an ally. Also during that crisis, russia never offered any support to India even a verbal one.
Check on the net, just last year 2021, russia and Pakistan re-enforced their military alliance and cooperation and russia delivered even more weapons to Pakistan. Russian weapons to Pakistan meant to be used only against India and indian targets. I'm speechless.
Let me not forget that during the 1962 war between India and China, russia backed China fully.

@kindface There's absolutely no possible comparison whatsoever between the HK dollar and the Francs CFA. The former is totally a HK currency, created, managed, printed, influenced, controlled...by HK. The USA has nothing to do with that currency. The pegging with the USA dollars is not even a USA's action or decision. This needs repeating "the francs CFA is actually a full French currency in every which way you look at it". The African countries involved just receive the bank notes from France according to France's volition and the wealth they deposited with the French ministry of finance (Bercy). The central banks of these countries receive and distribute the notes to the population. And that's it.
This is in part how it works: These countries keep their foreign reserves in France. They can't use below a certain amount even if they are dying of hunger. If things get worse for them, France will lend them their money with France and they will repair France but with a subsequent commission that France will keep. An example : Cameroon will by obligation keep 90% of its foreign reserves with the French central bank. Cameroon cannot use its own wealth held by France without France permission. And even at that, only a little percentage of Cameroon's foreign reserves with France is available for Cameroon's use. But if it desperately wants to use more of its own money held by France that will decrease its own foreign reserves in France coffers, then France will lend Cameroon Cameroon's own money held by France with interest. In other words, Cameroon will repay France with interest the Cameroon's own money that France lent to Cameroon. Can you beat that? And that interest Cameroon paid on its own money that France lent it will fully go to France.
This beggars the mind, doesn't it. This has been going on since some 70 years or more now and 99% of the people of the world have no knowledge of this. Even French media never ever talk about the scam.
Imagine the hysteria in the world if it was the USA doing this to African countries or European countries or Latin American countries etc.? 90% of the people of the world would have severally heard about it over and over and over again. But with France, nothing. Africans have complaining about since several decades but since it's France that is involved, nobody pays attention to them.
France has made trillions of dollars with this scam since the last 70 years. That's why it doesn't want to let it go.

@sankalpsalvi795 Dummy, I'm French. If by the grace of God the 4 million Indians in the USA go back to their country and to Russia, there are 40 million Pakistanis, Iranians, SE Asians (Philippinos, Vietnamese, Cambodians, laotians, Malaysians, etc..) and Central Asians and even Chinese, Koreans, Taiwanese etc.) that will replace them and take their place immediately.
Do you know how many hundreds of millions of visas the USA refuses every year? Today there even are hundreds of thousands Russians residing illegally in the USA. There are 13 million illegals in the USA most of them from SE asian countries. There are 47 million legal residents in the USA.

@gregelden8611 Pig, I'm French not Canadian, dummy. I find it really comical when drunken russian trolls high on adulterated vodka claim to be westerners as U are doing. Pitiful. Lol. U all are so desperate to be westerners. Who wouldn't want that in russia in spite of the cheap hype and soviet style propaganda againt the civilied West. Just go easy on that vodka comrade. It's a neuron killer... U can see the effect of home made vodka on your compatriots. That explain why russians stayed more than 70 years under a terrible form of bolshevico-stalinist commnunism without once protesting for their freedom, basic human rights and dignity or even for any form democracy. Terrible.
Lol. it wasn't the russian army around Kiev and Karkiv ? Geeh! Russian neurons are too far gone. Even Putin called them ''our brave and best soldiers''. The Generals that commanded them all this while were what ? Comedians ? Lol. And as of the number of those russian jokers in army uniforms sent to Kiev, they were more than the Ukrainian soldiers that trounced them. Since most ukrainian soldiers were kept in the Dombas so the russian ballless dancers in military uniform called the russian army would not overrun the entire country from there. Remember ?
No. russia controls less than 15% of Ukrainian territory and they are losing more ground every day. If you remove the territories controlled by the separatists since 2014 that is before the February 24th, you'd be terribly stunned by the very little progress the entire russian army has made in Ukraine since the last 8 months of war.
No. NATO is not fighting in Ukraine. Or this war would have ended in 2 or 3 week max. Some members gave weapons to Ukraine so she could defend herself and not fight empty handed. It was to equilibrate with russian access to soviet weapons at her disposal. It's weapons to weapons. What's wrong with that ? Only weak armies complain of the conventional weapons of their enemies when they themselves have weapons. You wanted Ukrainians to fight back empty handed ? . Lol.
For the civilian power infrastructure targeted and destroyed by russia, it's a clear sign of desperation and cowardice. Easy to strike civilian targets from afar with missiles and drones gotten from a 3rd world rogue nation like Iran. Russia is shameless.
BTW, when a nation starts recruiting prisoners and convicted criminals in its prisons to fight in an ongoing war, you know that country's best soldiers have been laminated in the battle field. Russia is going even worst here; it's recruiting former US trained afghan soldiers in exile in Iran, it has recruited syrian soldiers, it recruited chenchen jihadists, it's now mobilizing civilians from 18 to 62 years of age with little or no military training then giving them 1 week or 2 weeks training before throwing in the battle field...
Russia is a very weak nation militarily.
1
-
@gregelden8611 "We shall see who gets the last laugh" ? No. U russians won't get the last laugh.
Already U have been humiliated and U have lost so much. So many soldiers, so many tanks, so many planes, so many young people, the military prestige of russia is in tatters, sanctions are biting, millions of young talented men have fled the hell hole called russia for more civilised climes, millions may follow, your flagship the Moskva is deep at the depth of the black sea and many other warships damaged beyond repair... should I go on, comrade?
Russia will pay for this unneccessary and unprovoked war for several generations to come. You have already lost, comrade Bolshevikus.

@gregelden8611 The obnoxious effects of home made vodka clearly did not spare your brain. No, in Quebec you don't go to jail for that. Even if it were remotely true and I repeat it is not, only a russian like U fed with adulterated vodka as a baby can say it's worst than being jailed for 15 years for calling a war a war.
BTW, neither Trudeau nor the head of Quebec can change the constitution of his nation or province so he can stay in power for life as Putin did in russia.
Neither Quebec nor Canada has 250 journalists killed in a space of a few years as it's the case in Russia.
Shameful colonial history? Lol. One of the differences between your country and mine is that we study our history openly and with undoctored history books. In russia, history books are official narratives. Not written by real independent historians as in my country.
Dummy, russia was and is still a horrible colonial empire... a colonial hell hole. Why do U think russia is so vast ? Those territories were not uninhabited when russia attacked and slaughtered most of the original inhabitants and took over those territories. Today, of the 26 republics of the russian federation, 12 would like to have their independence and be free if they could. They are and feel colonised by force till these days. We gave independence to our former colonial subjects, russia have not done so.
Of the tens of millions of Stalin's victims, 80% were not ethnic russians. Also, have U read the inhuman history of the gulags? Horrible. Most of the innates of gulags all the decades that system lasted were Soviet minorities. It's incredible that a russian can dare point fingers at the French and British in this regard. Dumbfounding really.

@firstnamerequiredlastnameo3473 I don't take subjective russian trolls seriously. Russia intrrvenes in the internal affairs of other countries or in regional affairs of other regions much more than 98% of the other countries of the world. Can you see the blind hypocrisy of Russia and russians pointing fingers at others especially the USA in this regard? Russia intervenes in the internal affairs of Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Libya, Mali, central African republic, Venezuela, Syria, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Mozambique, Hungary, Montenegro, Serbia, Romania, Belarus etc.
The overwhelming majority of the countries of this world do not intervene in the internal affairs of even one other country. But here russia alone intervenes in the internal affairs of more than 35 countries.

@steveembry817 Bro, stop taking too much vodka.
- Russia is reduced to massive mobilization to fight little Ukraine. That's not a propaganda.
- Russia is reduced to recruiting condemned criminal in its prisons to serve as russian soldiers in Ukraine, that's no propaganda.
- Ukraine sank russia's flagship the Moskva, that's no propaganda.
- Russia is reduced to begging weapons from Iran and Iranians say there are iranian soldiers in Crimea training russian soldiers, that's no propaganda.
- Russia is in a terribly difficult situation in the Kershon region, that's no propaganda.
- More than a million young russian males fled their country russia to avoid being sent to Ukraine to fight a war they reject. That's no propaganda. - Russia just like in the Kyiv region was defeated in the Karkyiv region. That's no propaganda.
- This is a war and not a special military operation, that's is no propaganda.
- Wagner mercenaries made up of criminals among others are fighting for russia in Ukraine. That's no propaganda.
- The sanctions are beginning to have their effects on russian society. That's no propaganda.
- Putin never thought his sweet special military operation will be this terrible for russia and last this long. That's no propaganda.
- China has refused to help russia against Ukraine in this war. That's no propaganda.
- Russia is reduced to selling its oil and gas at massively reduced prices. That's no propaganda.
- Russian jet fighters have utterly underperformed in this war. This is no propaganda.
- Russian tanks have utterly underperformed in this war, this is no propaganda.
- Russia's main territory have been regularly and incessantly hit all through this war. This is no propaganda.
- The referendum under the gun to annex 4 regions of Ukraine was a sham referendum that even India and China did not recognize. This is no propaganda.
- Russia has brought antiquated tanks T-64 of some 60 years ago or more because it's down and does not have and cannot produce more of the more recent tanks. This is no propaganda.
I could go on and on. The humiliation of the overhyped fake former number 2 military power in the world is extreme.
On your last point, those russia will send to Ukraine for what you are talking about will me made of flesh and bones. So they will be taken out too. What's more, if russia goes on, the West will supply Ukraine will more modern, more cutting edge, more lethal and more distant reaching weapons. Pop corns out.

Arun Sathyan Russians fought only for themselves.
= The war started in 1939 but scared russians entered the war only in 1941, yet russia had a common border then with nazi-Germany. Forget not that the Nazis were allies of russia till they attacked the Soviet union 2 years after the beginning of WW2.
= Also it's the USA that provided most of the weapons used by the Soviet union in its fight against nazi Germany. The USA provided even canned food the Soviet soldiers used in the war front but Soviet and later russian propaganda never mentions this fact.
= During WW2, the Soviet union fought only on the eastern front. The allies fought on the front that went from Norway all the way to North Africa passing through Belgium, France, Italy, Greece etc... but Soviet and russian propaganda never mentions this fact.
= BTW, proportionally, there were more Ukrainians in the red army that fought the nazis than ethnic russians. That's a fact. In Berlin, there were more than 275000 Ukrainians alone out of the 725000 Soviet soldiers in Berlin. The rest were from the other 14 Soviet republics that included russia. Soviet and russian propaganda never mentions this fact.
= Most of the russians that died during WW2 died because of russians themselves. Bad social and economic policies, hunger, cold, total disregard for russian civilians and soldiers lives. Many soldiers were killed by other soldiers on the order of Staline. Before American weapons started arriving massively, Staline sent hundreds of thousands of soldiers to the front without weapon. These unarmed soldiers were to wait till a colleague with a weapon is killed, then they were to pick up the weapon and move forward. Those who refuse were shot and killed on the spot by a special red army unit created just to kill other red army soldiers. That explains why the Soviet union dumbly lost so many people. Not because of the Nazis. Stalin also deliberately starved soviet civilians just to feed the canon fodder in the front.

@alexunderros Lol. You have consumed the stalinist propaganda so much, it's a pity.
Here are some facts:
There were no independent sovereign country called russia during WW2 but a republic or region of the Soviet union.
2 - During WW2, Belarus suffered the most of all Soviet republics. But Ukraine lost the most soldiers. Of the 700000 Soviet soldiers that entered Berlin, 300000 were Ukrainians and the rest were from the 14 other Soviet republics among them Belarus, russia, Georgia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan etc...etc.
Even the fight around Stalingrad was totally a Soviet thing with more soldiers from the rest of the union than from russian republic.
3 - All through WW2, the Soviet union fought only on the eastern front while the USA fought along a distance comprising the northern, the western and the southern fronts; that is from Norway to Morocco, Algeria, Lybia, Egypt via Belgium, France, Italy, Greece etc...
4 - During WW2 , the USA massively provided the Soviet union with weapons, guns, armored vehicles, tanks etc...and even food rations. Without these, Stalingrad and Moscow would have been conquered and war lost in the eastern front.
5 - More Soviet soldiers and civilians died because of the inhumane policies of Staline than from Nazis. In the war front, hundreds of thousands of Soviet soldiers were shot and killed by special Soviet forces because they slowed down or wanted to rest. Hundreds of thousands of other Soviet soldiers were sent to the front with no guns just empty handed. They were to pick up the arms of dead soldiers and keep moving. Wounded Soviet soldiers were shot other Soviet soldiers.
In the population, Stalin confiscated the food and agricultural products of the masses and prioritized the Soviet cannon fodders sent to the front. Because of all these policies in the front and on the population, millions of Soviet citizens (soldiers and civilians) died during WW2. Hence the unnecessarily high number of dead in the Soviet union. It was all due to totalitarian madness of an inhuman dictator called stalin. Nothing to do with intelligence, tactics, fighting capabilities and endurance of the Soviet people.
Lastly know that WW2 was also raging in the far east against imperial Japan at the same time. The USA fought and defeated imperial Japan on the entire Pacific area and in Asia; Guam, Wake island, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Burma - Myanmar, Laos etc....and of course in Japan.
So what were you kids saying about russia winning WW2?

@synkaan2167 Lol. Typical. Always belittling what we put others through especially subsaharan Africans while exaggerating what others supposedly do to us. It's a classic in France. We programmed that way.
Just talk to Africans. Read about their tragic realities you won't read, see or hear in lemonde or Lefig or LCI, TF1 etc. Our media are masters in hiding France's crimes and/or faults outside of France. And when they report them, they belittle and doctor them. I know this for sure.
BTW, this is not about the 60s. It's about the crushing grip of France via its institutions and multinationals on poor subsaharan Africa. These guys tried to get away from the franc CFA (France's other currency in reality) but France has been resisting and fighting it with all its strengths. And to escape the accusation of neo-colonialism france wants to simply change the name to Eco.
France imposed the son of the late dictator of Tchad after his father's death as the present president of that country. France also encouraged Ouattara (France's number one vassal among vassals in Africa) to change the constitution of Côte d'Ivoire so as to stay indefinitely in power. And this vassal of France is a strong advocate of the maintaining of French subsaharan Africa as a vassal entity to France including via the perpetuation of the CFA. This is a country where France assassinated 65 unarmed civilians in front of Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan just to impose Ouattara in power and dethrone Laurent Gbagbo the then president. In Togo, France imposed the son of the former dictator Eyedema as the president of the country. In Cameroon, France imposed and supports one dictator in power since 40 years. In Gabon, France imposed the son of the former dictator Ali Bongo as the president etc...In Congo, a French vassal too in power. In that country, French ambassador often went into the former president's bedroom to talk harshly to him. Read his book. The former boss of Total use to insult him when he goes to request the country's shares of the oil Total was pumping and lifting out of the Congo (Brazzaville) to pay for the salaries of functionaries and the military. Eventually, France masterminded a coup against him and he was ousted. He came to power via a democratic election but kicked out via a coup supported by France.
Do you want to know more ? How about Centrafrique? It's no more France's vassal since the russians intervened. So France is attacking Centrafrique on the international stage and at the UN. Encouraging the tightening of existing sanctions against that already poor country just to punish it.

@kindface How is the weather in st-petersbourg today, Igor. You seem pretty obsessed with the USA. Clearly you russians are still reeling from the defeat of the cold war.
Now, you made an allusion to the fact that I'm French and seem objective with the USA. Lol. I have always been fascinated by the fact that people outside of France think the French are anti-American. I think it goes to show our capacity of deception.
Let me shock you. But before I proceed, do you know that Macron called Biden and only Biden before heading to China? Lol. Now why would he do that? Why does he have to do that if you are to take what he just said seriously and to the letter?
The people of France are among the top most pro-American people on earth. Even Americans totally ignore this.
Where do I even begin.
- Since 1935 and even more since 1945, American movies have dominated the box office in France beating French movies every year in France. The movies with the highest entries in France since the 50s are 99% American movies.
- Books: Since the last 60 years at least, American authored books are the highest purchased and read books in France after French authors. And every year, year in year out, American books (translated in French) top the list of the most sold books in France.
- The USA is the most visited country on earth by the French outside of Europe.
- The USA has the highest number of French residents along with the UK. Many French are even illegals in the USA.
- The top fashion popular brands in France are American brands. Back in school we had a stats that showed that Levi's sold every year more than 13 million pairs of one type alone of its jeans, the Levi's 501.
- Once any product or technology is made by Americans or even adopted by Americans it becomes automatically popular and adopted by the French. This is so much so, that often French entrepreneurs have to say that their product is popular in the USA or inspired by Americans as a marketing strategy to sell their new french products to the French. Lol.
- American themed restaurant chains (not just fast food) and bars are insanely popular in France especially in the country sides. New franchised ones open almost weekly and it's been that way since several decades non-stop. The American fast food giant McDonald's has its greatest number of restaurants in the world and sells the most outside of the USA in France. (Did U imagine that?. I'm sure 99% of Americans don't know that).
- Every year, every supermarket chains in France celebrates it's own special American week. Massive adverts are made, American products are featured and valorised. ..products ranging from edible stuff even breads to fruit to fashion to purely American gadgets etc..just name it, if it can be sold in supermarkets. Since the last 40 years that I have personally been patronizing this special American weeks, it always been a massive popular success for each supermarket chains hence they keep doing it. The USA is the only country so honored. (I personally think an Italian and Spanish special weeks could work too but they don't exist). Do you imagine a special Chinese or Russian week, beeeurrrk!. French people will be horrified.
- I'm in my early 50s. I have never ever seen a single day in France, where there were no massive amounts of news and information from and or about the USA and Americans. There can never be too much news or information from or about the USA and Americans in France. The French will always be asking for more. It's like psychiatric obsession. It's like an addiction. An unquenchable thirst. So the media, all kinds of media outlets in France (radio, TV, internet since it came into existence, magazines, newspapers etc...can't stop or even pause talking about the USA and Americans or relaying information from the USA back in France.
This phenomenon reaches hysterical proportions during US presidential elections. Midterm elections hot subjects in France too but the american presidential elections reaches a level of madness in France you can't imagine. Precisely, after the last one, the newspaper Lemonde wrote a great editorial article titled "Les Français, ces experts de l'Amérique". (The French, experts of the USA"). This newspaper - the most prestigious in France - went on to describe how the just concluded US presidential election gripped, fascinated and passionated the French all over the country both in cities and in the villages. From the elite and politicians and intellectuals and business people etc to the common French person. I can post the online version of that article. It also pointed how all over France people hotly debated (both verbally and online) every topic and/or comment of the candidates or the candidates themselves right from the primaries to the general election and after. Every candidate had fanatical supporters and detractors in France. Debates pitched French against the French.
- In France, American tourists are kind of regarded more. And the average French is prouder that Americans love visiting France than say other nationalities. It's unexplainable but that's the way it is. Since the last 40 years, every year American tourists are overly featured and interviewed in the media during eac summer period. Even the years when for any reason there are less American tourists.
- Americans are almost the only non-French constantly featured in French media saying nice things about France and the French and French culture or one aspect of the French or the other. The journalists always ask the questions so the American willingly or unwillingly will say only nice things about France or any aspects of the French. In 40 years I have seen and read stuffs like this thousands of times from Americans interviewed by French journalists. The next in number of times even if very far from the number of times with Americans are the British. Never for once have I seen or read this from a German or Spanish or polish or Italian or Scandinavian or Chinese or Indian or Brazilian or Russian or African etc... Can U explain this to me? The obvious explanation is that the French journalists know the French cares more when nice words or compliments or flatters are from Americans and from the British. From the rest of the people of the world, the French could care less to put it mildly.
- All over the country sides of France, you can find "Country music clubs" and they each have their festival days. All participants wear cowboys hats and jeans or other Texas kinds of dresses (men and women and children) and only country music is played and the dancing is also the deep south US country dancing.
I could go on and on. It's just a marvel that one of the top most pro-American and very americanized countries on earth and by far, is regarded by many as anti-American. Simply fascinating. There's no other country and people mother Earth that fascinate and obsesse the French as the USA and Americans. None.
BTW, this seems to have started way longer than we modern people think. In school we learn that the French revolution was inspired by the American revolution that took place a few years prior. The citizens of France openly said "if that young nation on the other side of the Atlantic can have a revolution and be a democracy, we too we can and we should" And the fate of the king was thus sealed. Also in French we have an expression "Avoir un uncle d'Amérique" (to have an American uncle), it means to have a benefactor or someone who can get you out of trouble when necessary. This popular french expression can also be found in books written way before WW2.
