  1. Countries popular for 2nd residencies (Panama and Malaysia come to mind) have had much, much more restrictive lockdowns than the US. I spent the last 2 years in South Korea who IMO has had the strictest 2 week quarantine in the world coming in. For all that is wrong with the US, they aren't restricting their citizens nearly as much as other countries.
