  1. The only people cutting down rain forests are the people who live there. They generally do it in order to clear the land for farming. Unfortunately, rain forest land isn't very good for farming; the high temperature and humidity causes soil microbes to break down all of the organic matter.

A million processors (easy to procure if you are a state actor) brute forcing a million keys per second (should be easy) will break the code in an average of 9 million seconds, or about 16 weeks.
