  1. "We have strong opinions about American issues that do not concern us and do not impact our lives at all." This is mostly due to many Europeans feeling the need to prove that the European ways are better, against the smaller minority of Europeans who aren't so conceited.

  2. The key to understanding America is that we are a nation that mostly wants freedom and equality, governed by a ruling class whose concern for these things is spotty at best. Don't blame our concern for freedom for every bad thing that happens here; much of the bad stuff results from the very anti-freedom acts of our government.
