  3. 1) You can make jokes about men getting raped or depict a man getting slapped by a woman and it's treated as acceptable humor. Men are the primary victims of sexism in our culture, and the only reason anyone opposes doing anything about it is because fixing the exact opposite idea in our heads has been the ticket to power and attention for many people.

  4. The key issue of modern times is the failure of our intellectual establishment to understand human freedom, and perhaps this is by choice. They have taken the position that freedom means doing whatever the hell you want. Some of them do this in order to excuse authoritarianism, others do it to cultivate popularity with the audience that is being granted this license to act.

The reason that western liberals don't see militant Islam as a existential threat is because they are focused on retaining and expanding their domestic power, and they don't see militant Islamists as an obstacle to that. To the western liberal, the western conservative is the only enemy of importance.
