  2. I worked for a company which made no use of third-party libraries. Our VP told me that when dealing with the management of firms we were buying out, they tended to ask why. His thought on hearing this always was, "Who's buying out whom?" If an in-house library is broken, the guy who broke it is down the hallway and you can go talk to him.
