  1. The Celsius scale is no more or less logical than Fahrenheit. The zero point in each system was chosen based on specific repeatable phenomena, and there is no reason to prefer the freezing point of fresh water versus the freezing point of sea water, and the choice of either is arbitrary. In a like manner, choosing to put 100 degrees at the boiling point of water, or the human body temperature at 90 degrees, are equally arbitrary choices.
