  1. There's a bit about American pilot culture that may not be known outside of that community. When a mission group is out they don't radio back asking for guidance on anything. They have their objectives and the authority to deal with unexpected situations according to their own discretion.

  3. @2:48 an actual view of the inside of a can of whoop-ass. On one of the plane tails you can see the letters AMC; the plane belongs to the Air Mobility Command, which is one of the USAF's major commands. You can see the blue clusters on the pilot, indicating that he is a lieutenant colonel.

  4. I was stationed in the UK when this went down. My unit had no involvement in this at all, but it was covered fairly well in the Stars and Stripes (the US military's official newspaper). The headline read "Iranian ship 'dead in the water' after attack by US". I did a bit of cut-and-paste to turn this into "Iranians 'deader than s***' after nuclear attack by US".

  5. After the 2016 elections someone published a set of images depicting how the election would have gone based on gun ownership. If the gun owners had stayed home, every state is blue (Democrat) except for Wyoming (a toss-up) and West Virginia (still red). If only gun owners had voted, the entire nation is red except for Vermont (still blue). A second American civil war would result in the complete end of the American left.
