  2. The reason that we had that view of the environmental movement while growing up is because we had not learned to question the viewpoint we were presented. It turns out that they were always some variant of anti-humanity: Anti-technology, anti-industry, anti-development, and always, always, always anti-capitalist and anti-freedom. Preserving nature was never their reason. It was their pretext.
