  1. The ironic thing is that this is not a battle Desantis has to win. Failing to secure the party nomination is not fatal. He can always come back and try again in 2028. His policies will be proven by four years of implementation, and Trump will either be term-limited out or he will have lost two national elections; and if Biden is re-elected, the 2028 Republican nomination will be the election, because everything will be a dumpster fire after four more years of Biden/Harris.
