  1. Many moons ago Omni magazine had a parody review of paranormal books, and one of the spoof titles was Garbage of the Gods , a parody of Chariots of the Gods and other stuff by Erich Von Däniken. The "theory" behind the parody was that aliens used Earth as a landfill and that all of the ancient great civilizations sprung up around one of these alien trash dumps.
