There is actually a good reason for stripping the sex-identifying pronouns from performance reports and any other record that is part of the promotions process. It will ensure that there is at least one portion where discrimination based on sex cannot take place, neither in the kind that was prevalent in the bad old days, or the kind of sexism that masquerades and anti-sexism.
