  1. The amount of power that can be gained by championing the cause of the transgendered people is greater than the amount of power to be gained by championing the cause of homosexuals. Therefore those who care only about power--who comprise a large number of people who championed the gay cause--have abandoned the mine that's been worked out in favor of the mine that's still yielding pay dirt. That they have to forget everything they said fifteen minutes ago is immaterial to them. Do not expect people who are after power to be consistent or honest. Those are rational virtues, and the will to power is irrational.
