  1. You will never sound like a l o c a l speaker in any language whatsoever. So, just make another !!! accent being similar phonetically. Say, you can shadow your Eastern European accent through a similar French accent, as these languages have no distinctions in durations of vowels. Thus, German and English accents differ not in durations of vowels, but rather in their tentions or sharpness qualities. So, this man has a colourful American accent, the professor has a local Canadian accent, and you cannot correct these accents!
