  1. I don't think the drops are bursting due to pressure. I think the drops are bursting due to the changing sound waves coming into contact with the water drop. You can verify this by doing the same experiment and creating fog using dry ice. By using dry ice, the waves will be visible and you will be able to see if increasing the amplitude makes the compartment that the drop is suspended in, become smaller and smaller until the drop bursts.
