Don Mega I knew a man some years ago that went to Africa on a missionary trip for a week. Before he left, his wife loaded the food up with garlic. While he was in Africa, he sweated the garlic out of his body which it annoyed his human companions. It was apparently even more annoying to the local vampires. He was the only one the mosquitoes left alone.

@TheRainHarvester "Now with a user interface that isn't created by Martians!" LOL: That explains a lot! Have you noticed that when they say: "intuitive layout" it's not, and much harder to find things?

That will work as a teleprompter as well. The difference is: rather than reading the reflection and recording the pass through, you are reading the pass through and recording the reflection. By the way, you could glue the camera in place after you have figured the right placement. Or you could make a slot that you slide the camera into to insure it's always in the right place.

@chad_levy I have Serif MoviePlus X6. It's under $30 on Amazon and it's licensed base. Whether it has everything you need or not, that's a different story. Here's a link to their playlist tutorial: https://youtu.be/OGjuNzEJxBg

Have you had any issues with static electricity when plugging into the USB ports? Being made of wood, your case is not earthed and could allow sparks to fly when plugging in anything USB. I had this problem with a recent build until I ran wire from the ports ground to a neutral earth wire. The case is painted inside and out, including the through holes, and the mounting bracket of the USB ports is plastic. A clear indication that the designer is an electrical genius.

Built in Christmas lights?! Co-o-o-o-ol.

Hmm. Remove the computer equipment and you have yourself a very hidden secret safe, which won't be of much comfort should a thief decided to steal the desk. Then again, if you screwed it into the floor, it shouldn't go anywhere.

@jackandblaze5956 "Also ppl in Merica don't have any time" It's America which you are obviously not a part of. No proud, self respecting, red blooded American would ever think to drop the A. "I got mine! attitudes. Come here where being a bully is admired and celebrated." The worst nightmare for all bullies is that little guy. You know the one. Kind, gentle, extremely polite and respectful, does everything possible to avoid a fight and continues that practice up until a bully causes ignition and take off. After which, the little guy walks away and resumes the mild mannered persona while the bully hears Robin Williams yell as he opens his eyes: "YOU GOT KNOCKED OUT BY A GIRL!" Total bully nightmare that one.

This is an awesome video. But now, I have to look up the PVC sheet you used.

I have a bit of a stupid question: Why are you not connecting the PC and Video card heat sinks to the aluminum panel so that it will become part of the heat sink and help dissipate the heat?
1
A simple solution would be to add a copper spacer between the new copper plate and the back plastic cover. 2 mm ought to do the job. A better solution would be to take two 1mm thick copper plates and sandwich them together with 1 mm x 1 mm thick ribs so that the top and bottom and perhaps the sides are open allowing heat to travel. This will make an actual heat sink for the camera and provide a natural air flow for the camera to cool.
1
These plates are to be the same shape, width and height of the camera shell increasing the total heat dissipation affect and becoming a spacer that attaches between the main case and the back case. There real problem is not a lack of engineering, it's a lack of willingness to have their camera look a bit different in regards to dslr case design.

1500 WATTS? Whipty dipty doo! Can you mount it to a CNC, focus the light down to a nanometer and use it to cut wood and metal?

Have you tried attaching a wide angled lens to the projector to see if that will shorten it's throw?

I think I would have tried to use a hatchback lift support cylinder. As the monitor is very light, you would only need one. The benefit is that the lift support would be able to hold the monitor up without the need of a latch, as well as not allow the monitor to go to far beyond the desired 90 degree angle. I was thinking this would make for an excellent television support as well. Provided you don't have too heavy a television. You would end up with a wider and much deeper shelf, but you could camouflage that by adding a layer to make it look like a step up shelf system.

I think you might want a full frame with more rigidity if you use the lift supports from a hatchback or tailgate.

You have a 1500 watt LED. But can you cut metal with it?
