  1. They aren't cutting you off because they are trying to feel the answer. They are cutting you off because they assume they already know the words you are going to say and therefore do not need to allow you to actually give your answer. By doing this in a public debate, they are informing the audience that your answer is the very words they have already heard time and time again. They use this tactic to put words in your mouth and force you to answer a question the way they want you to answer the question so that they can appear to be right when they are in fact wrong.
