  1.    "it's not the case with the authoritarian Chinese government. They do not own the corporations, many of which are listed on stock exchanges and are owned by shareholders." Which will be the last words of many a traitor that has adhered themselves to the enemies of the United States; giving them aid and comfort. Ownership of a corporation is irrelevant. Every company in China is an agent of the Communist Chinese Party which has on multiple occasions declared themselves to be the enemies of the United States. Invest in them at your peril. Not only will you not be able to get your money back if the corporation has chosen to mislead you in regards to their actual profitability which by the way; the Chinese government has declared to be a national security secret. You should also note that the Constitution does not require a proof of intent for the accused to be found guilty of treason. All that need be proven is that your actions either lead to your levying war against the United States; or your actions caused you to adhere yourself to the enemies of the United States, giving them aid and comfort. "In China, if you step out of line, you are screwed, but yet, there are billionaires and many millionaires there. It's very capitalist (which is economic, not political)." The billionaires and millionaires that exist in China exist at the pleasure of the Communist Chinese Party. They will disappear any billionaire or millionaire that they deem a threat to the Communist Chinese Party. "So what is the gain of conflating big U.S../transnational tech companies with Chinese companies? It adds no value to the discussion, and in fact, just muddies the water." To say that is to speak out of willful ignorance. Both the US transnational tech companies and the Chinese companies are working to subvert our rights. There is no muddying of waters by fusing them together, there is only a clarification of who the enemies are.
