  3.  @CarlinConnolly  "what is political correctness? seems like it's always invoked when someone's views are challenged because they do not consider someone else's perspective " Political correctness is not; disagreeing with someone else's perspective, even if you disregard as moronic the individual that goes around declaring: 2 + 2 = 5. Political correctness is when the person that is going around declaring: 2 + 2 = 5; becomes offended when another declares: 2 + 2 = 4. Accuses the 2 + 2 = 4 advocate of hate speech, and demands an apology. As much as people adore the "truth is relative" mantra of the left, the fact of the matter is; truth is not relative: truth is absolute. 2 + 2 will never equal 5. 2 + 2 equals 4 and that is absolute. It applies to all persons alike and non can deny it. We hold these truths to be self evident, the continental Congress declared. That all men are created equal and endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights; among these being: Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Government did not give us our rights. Our rights pre-existed government. Therefore, government does not have the authority to rid us of our rights. These are the tenants of the foundations of America, anyone that disagrees with these tenants, disagree with over 240 years of history that supports and affirms those tenants by each subsequent generation of Americans. The liberal left want people to believe that government grants rights. That is not the principle that America was founded on. Nor is it the principle that genuine republics, that are governed by the vote of the people are founded on. Political correctness demands that those who hold to the self evident truths of natural law, moral character and historical facts; apologize for maintaining their stance on those long standing and proven laws. Political correctness declares, so what if you were born with an X and a Y chromosome, that does not make you a male, you are a female? Political correctness declares that the statement: "men cannot have babies", is hate speech and an offense. No one is obliged to consider that 2 + 2 = 5, it is just plain obviously false and a lie. My being a man and a Christian, refusing to see from yours or anyone else's perspective does not automatically make me wrong, especially in such cases that yours or someone else's perspective is striving turn children into sex machines for their own pleasures, as well as striving to limit and abolish my rights as an American. There is nothing in the realm of justice and fairness, that obliges me to see or attempt to understand the perspectives of such wicked and evil behavior.
