Why do we in the West, especially the U.S, get so involved in other countries cultures and religions, the mess we have made in the Middle East and the lives we have destroyed gives us no right whatsoever to judge anyone.

To be fair the gentleman who was doing all the shouting had just moved his party a few feet to the left they would not have been in the shot, he himself chose to approach Brendan which for someone who didn't want to be filmed seemed a pretty bad idea. If he or the rest of the party wanted to remain anonymous why draw attention to yourself ? It doesn't make sense.

@torp7215 Paul Cook is the only living member not to have written a book, I really wish he would, a good honest guy Paul with no hidden agendas, out of all the Pistols he's the one I would like to sit and chat with.

@user-John666 Maybe but you could say the same about any of the four original members, they were all as important as each other in orchestrating the original pistols sound, John has it in his head that he was the Sex Pisrols and in recent interviews has shown a lot of disrespect towards the other three surviving members, if this biopic was based on John's memoirs none of this nonsense would have happened.

@user-John666 Lydon was perfect for the Pistols and I would never dispute that, a fantastic front man who helped change British culture and music forever. I have a lot of respect for the man but knowing what I know his take on recent events is slightly distorted. I suppose if you think about it the chaos of the Sex Pistols was always going to end like this.

@Wishful-Thinking John Lydon had many opportunities to be involved in this 'project' and didn't want to know, the fact that it is based on Steve's book and not his is the crux of the problem.
2
@Wishful-Thinking The biopic is called 'Pistol' it's basically Steve Jones's life story based on his memoirs, it covers the years of 'the strand' and 'the swankers' long before John Lydon joined the band. Jones was very much involved in the project for obvious reasons, Cook has visited the set once and Matlock not at all. John Lydon had many opportunities to get involved long before the dates he claims he was first contacted and turned them down every time. This is all his own making I'm afraid.
2
@Wishful-Thinking Cook and Matlock to an extent have had an input although Cook has only visited the set once and Matlock has not been near it, John Lydon on many occasions had the chance to be involved and turned them down. Unfortunately John is a narcissist and thinks the whole pistols story revolves around him which it doesn't.

Piers is merely a puppet, it's embarrassing.
2
Everything on TV now has to have its obligatory gay even the adverts, strange times we live in.
2
It's not a documentary
1
And without them John would be a nobody, it works both ways
1
It's not a documentary, it's a biopic based on the life of Steve Jones
1
Shows you how much you know
1
@roscoaber Sorry to make you look stupid 'petal' but Sid Vicious didn't play the guitar and Steve Jones was voted in the top 100 guitarists of all time, Glen Matlock is one of the best session bass players out there and Cooks drumming is legendry, you really must do your homework blossom before commenting.
1
@roscoaber Each to their own......enjoy
1
What has Danny Boyle done that's so bad ?
1
What documentary ?
1
Totally, as much as I respect John for his contribution to the Pistols the disrespect he has shown towards the other members in his latest interviews is uncalled for.
1
The Pistol biopic is based on the founder member's memoirs, if that's not credible nothing is.
1
100% correct, John has put his own twist on events.
1
🤣🤣
1
It's not a documentary, it's a biopic based on the founder members memoirs
1
There is another three members still living, of course there are no rules getting broken
1
It's not a documentary
1
You are correct but 'Pistol' is not a documentary
1
Meanwhile genocide is order of the day in Yemen using US and British weaponry, who script's this stuff ?
1
How dare you, its all about John according to him, the other three were apparently talentless
1
From the off Morgan and John got it wrong, it's not a biopic about the Sex Pistols, it's about Steve Jones and its not a documentary
1
@nasdkhan254 Nothing to do with the above assessment of which the person has got spot on, the Pistols sound was orchestrated by the four members not just one and for John to openly disrespect the other members is disgraceful.
1
@nasdkhan254 Again that is nothing to do with John trying to steal all the glory and disrespect the other members, if this biopic was based on Anger Is An Energy John would be shouting from the rooftops on how great it is but it's not, it's based on the founder members memoirs (who is in a better position than anyone to tell the whole story) and Johns ego is struggling to cope with that. Incidentally 'I didn't see it coming' is a great listen, not bad for a couple of guys 'farting about' and one of them fighting a heroin habit.
1
@ksc743 Another countries culture is nothing to do with anyone else, that's the problem in this world, too many do gooders
1
@TheRetroManRandySavage Not his material, the bands material, there are still another 3 surviving members
