Trump is not really an isolationist, he's just an america first president, what that means is that he wants NATO and other allies to pay up more for the alliance and would prefer to take potentially minimalist wargoals of allies into consideration. Ukraine wants a total victory but at the moment that seems very unlikely even if the USA and it's allies gave Ukraine everything it could ever want or need, just the manpower issues alone makes it impossible for Ukraine to win a total victory. Now maybe a miracle can still happen, maybe Putin has a heart attack next week and Russia has a civil war while also fighting this war, maybe but that's very unlikely. So the potential outcome could be that Ukraine becomes fully independent from Russia and part of NATO/EU but does lose some lands, that's possible. We shall see how things go but Trump won't want to be humiliated from this so if Putin would push for that he could be mistaken on assuming Trump won't do anything to help Ukraine.
