I think stxy is kinda dishonest here, the argument being made is that the USA became rich and powerfull under a libertarian model, this does not add up if you look at the historical and ideological basis of the USA as a Nation/Union. is wagin war to annex other nations something a libertarian would do? if so libertarianism is not much diffrent from fascism then, you can't claim your nations became powerfull because of libertarianism when it's main ideology for a very long time in it's early history was Manifest destiny, waging war on mexico, canada, annexing hawai through military force, Island hopping, the Philipeans, the USA is largely an empire that acts under the illusion of libertarianism. the reason the USA became powerfull is the combination of the most cruel elements of national socialism and the most free market based model of capitalism, did it make you powerfull? look around you but it would be nice if the USA owned up to it's own history and stopped this bullshit of ''libertarianism'' hell where the hell do you think Hitler got his idea's of lebensraum from? I know americans don't like to be reminded of their history and they don't like to admit that they as a people and as a nation have largely given up on the idea of the USA as a nation to exist, the constitution has been eroded for decades and was largely ignored when it did not suit their goals. other nations will react to this as we see in the world today.
