@TheShrededward there are limits to free speech, when you advocate violence or attempt to promote pedophilia or other crimes, that's basicaly the limit, I don't think the movie needs to be censored, destroyed or anyone who watches it to be labeled a pedophile but those that made it and those who praised it sould be exposed and investigated even, we sould not support this kind of vulgar, I feel most sorry for the child actresses, this might haunt their carrières forever.

@cheery-hex that's an assumption, it's very likely they were trained to do these things also the movie wants to present this movie as a coming of age movie, the posters explicitly show disturbing, sexualisation of children. If you want to make a movie against child sexualisation there are ways around directly showing it, you can cut and do different shots and focus more on the rejection of such behavior not the presenting of such moves directly.

@TheShrededward ahhhh yes the "if you see it that's on you deflection" it's a common accusation I see people on the left keep making to try and deflect and excuse pedophilia, it's a rather silly thing to do because when adults do the same kinds of dances it's considered overly sexual almost pornografic but because it's with children you want to pretend others being able to make that same comparison to be the ones who are into pedophilia. It's the same kind of deflection when people are critical of say homosexuality ohhhh if you have a problem with them that means your secretly one, no that's just a mental fabrication from your part to try and ignore the objective truth in front of you, that might work on stupid people but not here buddy. It says a lot about you, more than you realise.

@SvendleBerries she was 16? I assumed she was 18, there have been other incidents in movies that are no longer oke to make today, I believe Taxi driver had a underaged child being naked in a bathtub in the movie, in the movie she was playing the roll of a child prostitute, very dark and on the edge. Edit : not taxi driver, movie "pretty baby", my mistake, thanks to one who pointed it out to me.

@craxd1 quite the opposite, what happens in the USA has influence on what happens in European nations. We got BLM protests here too, while it's strictly american in nature, hell the director of the movie is a woman from senigal, only here by embrace of more american values like multiculturalism. Though to be fair it goes both ways, one hand washes the other and what can't be done in France will be done in the USA and visa versa.
