I don´t like to do ''whataboutism'' but I just want to point out that during ww2 the UK banned the Fascist party from the UK, they were not allowed to be voted on and were in fact their leaders were being put in jail, why? because there was a legit risk of there being a coup, Ukraine banning opposition parties for their connection to the kremlin which is currently invading them is a smart thing to do. hell we do this all the time in peace time as well, Greece banned the Golden Dawn party, Russia bans other parties, China bans all parties, the USA only has two parties. people aren't rational and vote based on emotions more so than on rational thinking, besides that Ukraine is not a very free or uncorrupt nation to begin with the only way it can become more free is by having leaders who understand the people's mindset and history and taking action against things that harm their path to freedom, you can see this in Brazil they voted for Bolsanaro but now Lula is likely to win in a new election, the guy who got locked up for being corrupt and a leftist, the people aren't rational, democracy is not ruled by the rational it's ruled by the mob and is therefor not very pro freedom in general, freedom is a very abstract concept that can only exist when the power of citizens and the power of the state are both limited, systems create freedom not people.

  8.  @CountArtha  The Turks, the Polish, the Greeks and France were also pulling their weight, even those that were below their 2% paid more than those above that. And Germany has specific treaties with the USA that limits their army so the only benefit would have been for the USA and their useless wars after 1990. If you think the current situation, conflict with Russia is a benefit to the USA or NATO then you are quite mistaken, the USA needs/loves the status quo the current developments could mean the eventual end of NATO and the US led world order, it's becoming a multipolar world for some time now (which is the norm in history) but this will speed things up quite a bit.

  11. the Zelensky worshipping is a real thing but if you look at the history of Ukraine and his policy he is probably the most pro freedom, pro capitalist leader in all of Europe, lowering taxes, regulations, attempt to keep the economy going, yes weapons will go to the black market after the war, right now the biggest market for selling weapons is in Ukraine not in the west or anywhere else in the world right now.
