  2. Is it not a situation of give and take? One government causes a problem, gets removed, new government gets voted into office starts implementing policies to reduce stress, remove problems in society local government can't solve, times change, new stress, people vote government out of office, new government is more liberal or authoritarian and so on and so on. The main issue stxy is mentioning is that authoritarianism does not actualy solve any issues and that libertarian and classical liberal values always is the right choice, in the case of the leftwing and legacy media lying about army of fascists I think he is correct, the threats not their, yet the real threats are ignored and unfocused, it's why they want alt-right terrorism, they want a violent reaction so they can argue and promote real authoritarianism that won't solve anything but if the government gets replaced by a more rational, pro western, anti communist political party than this real issue could get solved, here is the catch, people that get elected are unlikely to give up their new found power which they worked so hard for, so they become the new threat which may or may not be worse.
