@nobodynotme4840 I have one question though, it's true that Dennmark is one the best countries in the world but would it be able to afford it's same standards of living and social programs if they had to pay for their own military in the same amount as the USA? I would wish the EU and Europe in general invested more into their own military to at one point replace NATO but how much of our wealth and social programs would we have to scrap to make it work I wonder?

@nobodynotme4840 ohhh im not actualy Danish, im Dutch I just know that Dennmark is in the top 10 of most happiest and richest countries in the world, military spending is tricky it depends on the military industrial complex and supply chains, the USA makes the best military toys because they are so close to each component needed, have the technical know how and the budget to build what they need for a lower cost than most nations in the world combined, the EU is trying to make a more European wide military industry and R&D network to lower costs and improve standards, even without the EU the European members have worked on certain projects like the Eurofighter, if we assume the 2% military commitment then European wide it would be close to US military spending though still less advanced or efficent.

@ubuntuposix we are also very capitalistic (we invented it) plus our military is not as big as the USA.
