  1. Greenland is a massive gain for Denmark, the place is full of resources, they could lose Iceland but Greenland has their future.

Greenland has a lot of natural resources and will be vital for Europe's whole resource base in the near future, the potential wealth there is in the billions even getting billions of US dollars for it would be a massive lose for both the Danish and Europe as a whole. of course the USA could just take it via military force but that would basically be the end of NATO and make a massive more open rivalry between the US and Europe.

  3.  @davidweikle9921  probably less than what Denmark and the EU would fund into it to keep it part of Europe's sphere, of course the USA could outspend it but the USA has the potential of Canada or Mexico to add, why bother with Greenland when these bigger, easier fish to fry are there?
