  1. honestly this is just all about money, apologies only matter if the goal is actually having done something that is somehow bad compared to everyone else, while these apologies are simply a way for grifters (activists) to be able to sue the government and get money, nobody puts forth the same demands for the actual africans who enslaved their fellow africans and sold them to the Dutch or Europeans in general, why? because there is no money to be had from african governments, neither from the Turkish government who had a much larger slave trade then the Europeans did. slavery was not profitable and the Netherlands has lost a lot of lands as a result, the only people who benefited from slavery are the rich plantation owners, the same types who have no problem with exporting production to China or the third world in the same slave like conditions. rather then regressing further into this victimhood mentality of people long dead, better to not give into the screams and shouting of paid activists and grifters and simply move on from the past and focus on the future, only those with no future prospects let themselves be shakkled by the past of so long ago, likewise we should move on from other chains like ww2 or decolonialism, that is the way of the future, that actually builds something, instead of trying to tear down the present and future to please the ghosts of the past and those who seek to profit from it.
