The authorities run most media companies, the biggest platforms all cater to them, political radicalism starts with the far left with a very slow and unorganized backlash from people being pulled towards the "far right" people often don't watch what they want to watch or hear, they get fed a narrative of far leftwing nonsense and can choose not to believe it, most people don't question it because people are herd animals and less individualistic than they would like to admit.
