I believe this idea of america somehow being a bastion of freedom is a bit of a creation myth for americans to believe in and that it's not actualy what makes them the world power, if you look objectively to US history what do you see? You see an ever expanding empire with a decentralized government that lorded over the rest of the mostly empty and made even more empty by waging wars on the natives to the point they are all largely stuck on reservations, how is freedom the main core of american believe in themselves? I get why many americans would deny their history because most of the stupid leftists want to say america is racist or something and I don't agree with them but come on the USA is not a bastion of freedom and more and more it has failed to be like that or why it's powerfull to begin with. The USA is an empire and it will defend it's emperial holdings to the death, it will fail when it's subjects revolt and no longer identity with it's codes of ethics and internal stability declines, same with all empires realy.
