  18. it's always been that way with war, now though people can actually see the brutal nature of it in HD and from an individual and birds-eye view, there is no turning back or return to the old times which honestly were a lot more deadly compared to this era. these specific wars though are more brutal than usual due to the combination of cheap drones and meatgrinder tactics, combined with the hollow mindset and corrupt nature of our leaders and governments it's made all the more depressing and bleak, a human life reduced to a couple of thousand bucks, Putin's generals also seem to have an almost ww1 and ww2 core mentality in a 21st century war, it's just maddness to be honest. it's going to get a lot worse, the countermeasures will also become more interesting to see, what this will mean though is that war will become much more industrial in scale, drones vs drones, robotic soldiers vs robotic soldiers, this style of meatgrinder tactics likely won't survive this century simply because you run out of men too quickly and the costs in economic terms will become too high, as all these men could have been workers in the economy or produced drones themselves rather than get blown up for minimal gain. the real terror though comes when nations like China figure out how to maximalize their drones swarms with AI and can just focus on overproduction while our leaders continue with outdated forms of warfare and send everyone into the meatgrinder on behalf of either a minority of corrupt leaders or voted into power by a part of society that won't get drafted. out of this barbarism needs to come a new status quo, a new zeitgeist, our post ww2 world just can't keep up anymore.
