I do wonder how other civilizations will react to the lowering of IQ, while some civilizations might be able to maintain and perhaps even raise their general IQ levels due to selective immigration, artifical breeding methodes or genetic engineering, I do wonder what is most optimal and how would we do the same thing with our western civilization? are we going to see a revival of authoritarian rule to try and fix this problem? or is it something that only democracies would be able to solve? or perhaps some radical mix between the two systems? I have no idea and while I have my own views, only time will tell which is most optimal.

  4. well it all kinda depends on events that happen in the near future, climate change and mass migration might lower IQ within that time period or perhaps some type of world war would destroy most of the world before this collapse happened naturally, knowing history and human behavior i don't think the trends as we see today will continue for longer than 25 years because after that point we probably will destroy ourselfs or cause such a collapse to make natural selection become the norm again, only time will tell.

  5.  @lemdixon01  regardless of climate change though, humans as a whole have expanded greatly and have been using up most resources and causing mass extinction, while I don't think global warming is the great end of all things like some people like to pretend, there is no denying that a world devoid of the natural cycle and eco-systems will be able to sustain life (humans included) which are in decline at a rapid pace, it will cause mass human conflicts and resource wars, esspecialy things like water. on the subject of natural selection im not so sure anymore, either we go back to the stone age and it comes back or we maintain a technology focus and simply replace the mechanism of natural selection and evolution artificially which will create it's own set of problems but also perhaps the means to solve them. that's my take at least.
