taking back Cremea will take quite a lot of effort but it is possible if the will is there and the means to do so, right now is that likely? no but is it possible? well if Russia runs out of steam, if Ukraine is able to us NATO weapons to push Russia out of all of Ukraine and is able to solidify their holdings with minimal effort, if Russia continues to fight even if it can no longer make any grounds and if Ukraine is still willing to fight to get Cremea back and Russia can't defend it and once they take it Cremea actually wants to become part of Ukraine again and then to top it all off Russia accepts this loss and does not go for the nuclear option or something, then maybe, just maybe they can take it back. Now that's a lot of if's, so I can understand that it can be considered impossible but again it all depends on what happens, wars are tricky and political instabilty in Russia can be a window for opportunity, we have to wait and see but it's not impossible, just unlikely right now.
