There were polish collaborators as there always are in every conflict but yes most if not all of those people were ethnically germans and were basically making plans on how to fully annex all of Poland and how best to deal with the actual polish people, some wanted germanisation, others deportations beyond the urals, slavery, genocide, mix between all of them but basically nothing like an actual polish state with it's own laws and autonomy.

I really don't understand the point of Intermarium in today's world, it's literally just a weaker, less coherent and more divided eastern european union that probably won't be able to fend off Russia or maintain their current levels of economic growth, that's not to say they can't form a political block to try and counter the western european agenda in the EU, after all in the USA the southern and middle american states are more republican and conservative compared to the eastern and western states, eastern Europe in many ways would just be the south of Europe compared the the south in the USA, I just don't see why this would be a big issue.

@kolakpatolik1857 the elites most often are the biggest supporters of any such movements and the first to jump ship, in every conflict ever this has been the case, Poland is no exception, same for Russia, same for the Netherlands, hell even the same in the UK and USA, plenty of people wanted the nazi's to win this was before all their crimes really got laid out.

@ViceadmiralNelson1805 so was the USA before and during it becoming a federation, also this is not the 16th century anymore, we all speak english for the most part, can already love and work between EU member states, basicaly it's a national pride and proper law and order concern that's the main issue. But to be fair the USA has everything on easy mode so it's understanable that not everyone thinks it can happen, I would say it's already happened and is likely to spread to other regions as well, the middle-east, Africa, perhaps even asia or south america? Continentalism is the future in my opinion, the USA itself is a great example of this.

@ladrok97 it's from both some European leaders and US generals that are concerned with a stronger EU being able to match the Economic and military force of the USA, NATO after all was created to contain soviet aggresion without an external threat and with the potential of a united European continent that would case doubts about the reason for maintaining the alliance, especially if the interests of the USA clash with the interest of the EU. an example could be the EU becoming engaged in North Africa or Central Africa in the case of humanitarian crisis and supporting/funding regime changes that aren't in US interest or making trade deals with Iran, China or Russia that aren't in US interest, this is already an issue in the current EU-US relations.
