it's sad how people used to fear Germany for it's military might and put the blame of imperial goals as delusional and self serving, only for when it became humiliated and weakened to then be deemed to be trying to take over Europe via trade and industry, only to ironically be viewed as weak and lacking leadership by not being militaristic enough to help guide the direction towards the future for itself or Europe as a whole. it's almost as if no matter how hard they try, they are always going to be viewed with hatred and resentment either in victory or defeat, now we see the potential of a breakup of any sense of future within the EU and lack of leadership from Germany in the proper way forward and more enemies within and outside it's borders ready to continue the decline and vazal relationship between it and the great powers of the world. is there no end in sight? no great vision to be realised? no hope for a better tomorrow not served as fodder for other nations? hopefully the current dark ages will pass quickly into a brighter future, can't say it seems likely though.
