  1. can I just point out that the EU does not have an army to give any kind of security to anyone at the moment, in order to enforce something one first must have force and while France and Germany dominate the EU on most issues, the EU itself has send millions worth of weapons to Ukraine already, in the case of any sort of EU federation the interests of Europe as a whole should be above the interests of the incompetent leadership of France or Germany and seeing as the rest of the EU member states probably have more money, more people and more votes in the EU parlement it seems unlikely that just those two nations could get whatever they want at the expense of everyone else.
