  1. All nations do that and often they are rewarded for doing so, while those who admit their mistakes and seek redemption are often attacked and punished for it. Not admiting to mistakes or cruel acts in the past makes your nation stronger not weaker, thus it is best to not admit them whenever possible. The idea of forgiveness of sins is a Christian morality concept which does not reflect the world or history long term. Sad but true.

  3. Considering what he had to deal with and him willingly giving up power and being pragmatic in his rule, I would say he is probably one of the best dictators in human history. People in modern times who don't read a lot of history, have no idea how rare it actually is for a dictator to give up any power, let alone most of it. If you want to consider the alternative the republicans (communists) had to offer, see North Korea or the USSR. 100.000 to 200.000 deaths is a small price to pay for destroying communism in any country.

  5.  @rayadutta2010  pretty much all countries have invaded or waged war with someone else, if not they will in the future because that's the nature of being a country. Maybe micro states that exist for some reason but then they exist only by the protection of another state or nation that wages war for them. If you help another nation it's most likely going to mean hurting another nations plans.
