  1. 8:121 this is inaccurate and delusional, the weapons are just tools, it's the people that use them and have them that's the issue and they won't give them up ever, if you don't have nukes it means you are ripe for the picking by those that do, while having nuclear weapons means no other nations is stupid enough to try and attack you. the most likely case of nuclear exchange is a misunderstanding.

  2.  @Leafeon-gd5en  potentialy but they could also be used for specific military targets, imagine nuking major weapons production sites, "hidden" nuclear sillo's to stop other side from attacking, air craft carriers, the nuking of cities is a considered tactic because of maximum moral, civic and human lives losses, such a blow would demoralize any resistance to keep fighting. They will kill in the millions, though if you wish to see them gone it's just not going to happen, what you can do however is make clear treaty and communication lines to prevent a misunderstanding which has happened a number of times before, one russian commander even saved the world by disobeying orders to nuke the west due to communication error which told them they were under attack. The only way to even consider removing them is to use the uranium for neclear energy production. The worst case situation would be neclear terrorism, nukes in the hands of fanatics is unthinkable.
