  2. here is a much easier and much more logical reason why civilization will collapse. no more natural selection, due to technology, the industrial revolution we no longer have the same environmental presures to select for traits that help with survival, our society praises our ability to keep everyone alive but does not attempt to correct this mistake of no longer have natural selection as we did before. unless humanity finds an artifical way of correcting this gap or returns to natural selection, civilization will collapse simply because people will be unable to maintain it's high trust society, it's machines, it's level of technology, it's biological fitness, it's mental health, it's immunity, everything will be effected. im optimistic that we will be able to survive untill this correction happens but that might take decades and in the mean time we risk inflicting great damage to ourselfs due to the fallout of this lack of a correction in gene selection. I can't say what will be the optimal solution but I can tell you for sure, not realising this reality is probably what will doom us all. feel free to disagree though, im quite convinced though.
