Romeo Tango "rely" you do realise the USA has treaties that limits many European nations states ability to build up their own army right? Meanwhile the USA bitches and moans when we invest in our own militaries rather then buy US weapons, not to mention the USA proping up all our enemies which makes having a bigger military nessisary to begin with. Add to that the USA involvement in putting sanctions on Russia and overal not wanting a EU army. We don't realy need NATO, you need NATO to be able to send your armies through our lands to lay siege to libya, syria and iraq, if you don't like it go ask african nations if you can get your stuff through them, good luck btw.

it's the proxy grounds where the USA, Russia, China and israel meet to fight it's little conflicts that justify their billions of dollars of military goodies, have to keep the war machine going otherwise you can't innovate in the military industry.

sadly after so many years of war and endless proxy conflicts and terrorist plots by the USA and israel, they have little choice, if they refuse they get the kaddafi treatment, the syrian treatment, the iraqi treatment, they hate israel but they fear the USA more.

Israel and Lebanon are clearly in the middle-east, it's right there next to the rest of the middle-eastern countries, Turkey and Libya are indeed not in the middle-east but strongly effected by it.

@fatimashire508 no actualy facts due to the selling of weapons to "moderate rebels" under Obama which he openly said and which the Pentagon confirmed, was groups like al shabab and many others, though weapons came into the hands of isis, same with their Toyota's, when Trump was elected in 2016 he cut those weapon supplies thereby cutting a major source of arms to terrorist groups. It's not realy a conspiracy theory, seems to me you don't want to look into it so you just act like it is so you can pretend it's not true, though most often a conspiracy theory is something secret not out in the open for all to see you know

utter nonsense, Iran is no threat to the USA, though they are for israel and thus with big daddy zionist Donald Trump they have to continue making conflict in the region, Iran is suffering greatly from US sanctions while Europe and the chinese just want to buy their oil, if Iran can stop oil from going through it's ports to asia and Europe that would halt the global economy, the USA act of war on Solemani was a sign for things to come, im about 80% sure right now that when relected Donald Trump will try to start a conflict with Iran, hopefully other nations can put enough presure on israel and the USA to not do something that stupid.
