You don't need communism for wealth distribution, the communist party just wants to stay in power and sees a depopulated and impoverished mainland china as a problem, not to mention how these communities are it's backbone for food production, higher than urban birthrates and military cannon fodder, the same is true for the USA with a rich coastal elites and a country middle which gives it's food and soldiers.

  2. But that's what communists claim and attempt to do but always fail. The people who know the least about communism are communists, it's like a religion, "not real communism" is a common phrase they use and they don't care about reality, history, facts or how high the corpses stack as long as they can pretend to be the voice of the workers or the oppressed.

  6. Most sane nations think like this, the ones that don't tend to get invaded and annexed by other powers, how do you think the USA got that big? Or Russia? Or Germany? Or France? Or the British empire? Or the Mongol Empire? Or the empire of Japan? A despotic regime breeds internal issues but demands defence and security both inside and outside to maintain it's power, democratic nations are much more rare and sometimes fail due to poor choices, people in the west prefer democracies but democracies without the means of defence and security won't last long.

  7.  @tellyboy17  I disagree, the only thing that's stopping any nation today from expanding with it's military is the USA, dictatorships still exist and many either just want to remain in power or expand same with democracies. People who have power do want more of it but only a handfull would risk it all just to get a bit more, they do exist though, most just want to maintain their power.

I partly disagree, China has already lost it's communist ideology, it has opened up, allowed market forces, expanded it's state owned companies and has a very strong han chinese focus as well as militaristic agenda's. China is communist mostly in name only, it's behavior, leadership and economy seems much more like a fascistic state for the modern era.

  13.  @FrostbitexP  what a politician says and does are often two very different things, besides fascism and national socialism did the same thing as well. The merging of corporations within the state system of China is a lot like national socialism, Xi is no different in that regard.
