  4. I see projection a lot in arguments. They will even project the fact the they are projecting and accuse you of projection. I don't know if people can overcome their illusions. It seems like that requires a character of truthfulness, and I don't know how one can obtain that. What if it's all stupidity? I've become pessimistic about whether people really improve themselves. People's reaction says a lot about themselves. If someone said 2+2=4 in an angry tone, people will object based on tone. No, it's not semantics. Beliefs and values are different concepts. If you don't understand definitions, then all this philosophy talk is likely going over your head. In every value system, there is a high and a low. Morality uses "good" and "evil". In valuation of people, I use "excellence" and "weakness". I value excellent people because their contributions improve the quality of life, whereas people who talk nicely and mean well but are weak in character can do considerable harm. It's interesting to see what really matters to people.
