Video games were ALSO an issue. Electronics emit higher intensities of blue light which completely throws your circadian rhythm out of sync. Many people are not aware of blue light’s effect on the pituitary gland and pineal gland as well as the acceleration of macular degeneration. Subjecting children to high intensity blue light is even worse because sleep is important for proper development.

@sheevpalpatine3264 Let me make sure I get this right. You THINK that parents that treat their children with kid gloves is going to prepare those children for the real world? How is a child going to cope with not getting the things they want as adults when they can’t cope with it as children? This is why society is crashing.

I wasn’t listened to as a child either, but I’m glad for it because it taught me to solve my own issues instead of relying on morons like “Dr. K” feeding me a bunch of feel-good bullshit.

@sheevpalpatine3264 It’s “abuse” to take away video games? Did you say that out loud before hitting send?

Absolutely not. I’m thankful I learned discipline as a child despite hating it as I grew up. Too many kids today resort to whining and protesting INSTEAD of solving problems themselves.

Holy crap, dude. You are horrible at this. ALL you are doing is pandering to a bunch of people who do not understand anything about the brain. Video games ARE an issue. Subjecting children to high intensity blue light is even worse because sleep is important for proper development. Your “feel good” bullshit is so destructive, and your popularity is clouding your judgment. You better stop and take stock of the utter rubbish you are spreading. 18:30 “It’s about asking your kid, ‘What can I do to help?’” Yes, because raising a bunch of irresponsible children with no sense of sovereignty is exactly what this society needs. “The only thing we learn from history is that we do not learn from history.” Hegel The last time I saw you was on Pakman’s show as you psychoanalyzed the guy who only wanted to laugh at everything while you completely disregarded the authoritarian who wanted to dictate what other people can or cannot laugh at. You’re like high-grade irresponsibility with a diploma.

@grindsauce3017 I definitely appreciated it a lot more now. My Pop recently asked me if I thought I had a good childhood, because I told him how difficult it was to go to seven different elementary schools and what I had to figure out for myself while teachers punished me for being disruptive and my parents punished when the teachers sent home letters about my disruptiveness. All these adults couldn’t figure out that I was reacting to dealing with a new set of bullies every year; making a new set of friends every year; and learning what a dysfunctional government thought I should be learning every year. I think he felt guilty for not understanding what I was going though. I told him I would not change a thing because I love who I am today: strong-willed and sovereign. I’m not the type of person to incessantly complain about things that I cannot fix because I was conditioned not to be that way by my parents AND the failures of society. Now I look around and see so many people whining and protesting until somebody else “fixes” things.

@grindsauce3017 I found a life purpose and have relegated coupling to happenstance. While I would be thrilled to start a family, it’s failure to happen no longer affects my happiness. It’s an odd feeling of pure contentment when contrasted to my youthful desperation. I wish you luck in your active search, though. Just remember: comfort breeds weakness and struggle builds strength. This applies physically, mentally, and emotionally. The more your child struggles when they are young, the less they will need you when they are older. Don’t rob them of their sovereignty by keeping them comfortable. Cheers 🍻

@CorruptedSpider Unlike you, I don’t make fallacious comments based on an appeal to authority. If you’re accepting what he said solely because of his license, do everybody a favor and don’t vote.
1
@CorruptedSpider What “Wikipedia appeal to authority” are you talking about? Yes, making an argument based on someone’s credentials IS an appeal to authority which is a logical fallacy. Being a licensed psychiatrist or experience working with clients isn’t an argument. They are, respectively, appeal to authority and ad hominem. Pick a particular idea you wish to defend or attack, then defend it or attack it. Debates are about WHAT ideas are presented, not WHO presented the idea, or HOW they presented it, or WHY they were presented.
1
@CorruptedSpider Holy shit. Can you make an argument that doesn’t involve a person, or are you a pure NPC?
1
@CorruptedSpider Because adult aged children should have no authority over others through voting and government.
1
@CorruptedSpider How abused were you that you need to simp so hard for a hack?
1
@CorruptedSpider There’s nothing to prove since you never presented a valid argument, kiddo.
1
@CorruptedSpider If Einstein said “2+2=5” would you accept that as true based on his credentials?
1
@CorruptedSpider You have what, and done what? Make fallacious arguments? Congratulations, NPC.
1
@CorruptedSpider Quote where I said “abuse was important.”
1
@CorruptedSpider The only things you talked about are the “licensed psychiatrist” and me. Those are appeal to authority and ad hominem arguments which are fallacious.
1
@CorruptedSpider When you grow up and read more, you may engage in adult conversations, kiddo.
1
@CorruptedSpider The only arguments I see that you’ve made is that he’s a licensed psychiatrist and that he has experience. Those are not arguments. Those don’t prove me wrong. Now, unless YT deleted or hid another comment, all you’ve been saying since then is “nuh uh, you.”
1
@CorruptedSpider I don’t know how many trips around the Sun you’ve made, but you talk like you’re 14.
1
@CorruptedSpider “It feels weird that you subscribed to me.” Adults take responsibility for their emotions, kiddo.
1
@CorruptedSpider Paraphrasing isn’t how you debate what was said. So QUOTE exactly what I said, then make your case, kiddo.
1
@CorruptedSpider Not once did I use the word “abuse,” kiddo. Quote EXACTLY what I said.
1
@CorruptedSpider It’s only an insult if you choose to be insulted by it, kiddo.
1
@CorruptedSpider What do “I definitely appreciate a lot more”? That quote doesn’t contain the word “abuse,” kiddo. Try again.
1
@CorruptedSpider Don’t “paraphrase” people when you disagree with them. Make sure you understand what is actually being said before responding.
1
@CorruptedSpider Do you know what “air quotes” are? “a pair of quotation marks gestured by a speaker's fingers in the air, to indicate that what is being said is ironic or mocking, or is not a turn of phrase the speaker would typically employ.” He put “abuse” in air quotes to mock people for calling punishment and discipline “abuse.” Is “grindsauce” some new edgy catchphrase? What is it?
1
@CorruptedSpider Why are you concerned about me using “kiddo”?
1
@CorruptedSpider I don’t care about rude people. I subscribed in case I ran into you again. I don’t doxx. That’s a stupid and ignorant practice. I use “kiddo” when people act immature. My dog is an asshole, but thanks anyways. :-)
1
@CorruptedSpider Depends on the severity of the “beating.” I never bled or bruised when I was disciplined.

@forgiveness7959 No. The brain is amazingly plastic.
