@finbarmarkey Actually Finbar, I am not a silly boy. I a mature, well educated individual and while I agree with you on some of the draconian elements of the hate speech bill, if you are to apply your same logic to some of the draconian anti-free speech, undemocratic legislation in countries like Russia, China etc, then it shows you up as a hypocrite. There is no such thing as journalism in these countries and you can get banged up for 15 years if you step out of line and don't tow the narrative of the government. While the press in Ireland is far from perfect, press freedom here is a given. It's not in Russia. There is nothing to stop you setting up a newspaper in Dundalk or Blackrock to criticise the government ( or Louth county council) and take aim at politicians/councillors for their failures. If you did it in Russia,however, you would end up sharing a cell with Alexei Navalny or Roskomnadzor would close you down in the middle of the night. So I think it is you who don't like people popping your Russian progaganda bubble.

But your paranoia would be kinda cute if it tainted by your unwavering pro-Russian sentiment and sycophantic drooling about all things Russia and how great the RuSSian army is. I am all for peace and love dude and I am totally against the illegal and cynical invasion of a sovereign country by a barbaric, kleptocratic and mafia-led state that believes in lying to its people, locking up people who disagree with it or indeed making them disappear (even from the sky). I pray that one day you will eventually realise that you are being used as a Roskomnadzor puppet and you will see Russia for what it is - a nefarious and barbaric imperialistic tumor that will lead the world to destruction.
