@Jo Sm EU army would be the first step towards federation. because then you would need a single finance ministry to fund this army. and we here in East Europe trust Americans (NATO) more than French. i do not know why.

@alexb.1372 well, actually i am wrong. in new EU country grouping Baltic States is considered Northern Europe. Moldova and Romania are considered East now. it always used to be us, the easterners. few years ago classification changed.

@deyvijosegutierrezatencio9668 Eastern. i kinda like be associated with rough lands. and i was thought in school that our country is in Eastern Europe. and borders with Russia. but, i know, geographically Europe ends in Ural mountains. far beyond Moscow to the East. so it makes Baltic States right in the middle.

@Jo Sm nether would Americans. to be honest. we always were on our own. that is why my country was so eager to join all kinda liberal unions. in hopes to find geopolitical umbrella. but now,.... :) national populism is smacking it all away. because Merkel welcomed refugees. and didn't ask an opinion of anybody else in about this matter. only latter to seek solidarity to spread welcomed guests to other people houses in quotas. sorry for my English. i can speak better than write...
