I foudn yoru statment about language and cultutre barrier a bit suprising: especially the latter yeah language theoretically shouldnt be a problem, but who knows if one will ever master Japanese. But i suppose culture barrier is a problem, even when i talk with other europeans i am very often suprised sometimes even annoyed about the way they deal with diffrent topics due to their culture. And thats just going to be worse in japan. there are some german youtuber making videos about Japan, being completly suprised evena fter living their for years what is done sometimes. And overcoming cultural diffrences is something very ahrd i suppose. The others points you made are intresting, especially consdiering that Japan Women apparently think highly of westerners but when it comes down to them they dont think any of them is serious. Again, cultural diffrence. in Europe i at least did say people dont assuem that right away. They assume it after they know how long you are planning to stay
