North morally wrong launching scorching earth (even tho South started the war by attacking North forts) North in the legal right to not let the South secede over slavery and in the legal right to defend itself
1
@georgehayden4897 Lol, that was a forth held by the North, and the South bombed it. That's an act of war.
1
@georgehayden4897 The North didn't commit any war crimes. Besides, it wasn't a war but an unlawful insurrection against the lawful president
1
@georgehayden4897 The government of the United States of America held those forts, and it didn't nor doesn't have to vacate government premises to a bunch of insurrectionist who just waned to have slaves (main and only reason for war)
1
@georgehayden4897 Lol, are you sure you aren't the one confusing the two? Because it dies look so to me

@patrickcleburneuczjsxpmp9558 Funny to see someone who support slavery states talk about flawed democracy
1
@patrickcleburneuczjsxpmp9558 And the fort was own by tge union, that's a fact. Attacking it meant war. That's also a fact. So yes, South started it in any case
1
@patrickcleburneuczjsxpmp9558 To the American GOVERNMENT, elected by the people. The fact South seceded, was against the people and it doesn't mean it gave them right to the fort "If I decide you're not welcome in the entryway to my house any more, you refuse to leave" again, they didn't get to decide that, especially since they decided to secede in autonomy, because they wanted to keep slavery
