And it doesn't mean being part of, but even a situation like that of Switzerland, or Norway, or those who actively want to work with the EU without being a pain in the ass (Bosnia Erzegovina, North Macedonia, Albania etc...)

That's what this is about: unity The fact you, like many others british, are unable to see beyond trade says all about why uk is left out by most if not all Europeans projects. Of course EU doesn't wish economic ruin or uk, but it doesn't have to help it or include it in its projects, as you chose to cut all the ties except the most basic ones

And I'm sorry you couldn't vote, but judging by what you write, you seem to have lots of misconceptions about EU and how it works Fact is, EU is a bit worse without uk, but it can manage. And it's better to manage without it than include someone who isn't willing to take responsibility and work with others. After all when uk HAD economic growth and was integrated all it did was blaming EU. You, as a person, can understand why now we're skeptical to get uk in our projects. When we will be sure british will be more open minded, willing to work with others and that they got rid of their exceptionalism, then we can restart anew. Now who can assure us uk wouldn't sabotage EU again? Also( my opinion take it as you want) you shouldn't believe too much in Labour either, they don't seem to have ideas, popular or not, they just try to ride consensus as much as other parties. You probably don't have much of a choice, but they seem to me far from good

I put much emphasis on exceptionalism because that's what you british did.   36. Only one caveat Phil: things are changing in the EU dude. If you ever rejoin and EU choose to federate you will be kicked out if you don't want to join. After all why should English be able to stop it? Nobody can force you to sign it but you cannot force others to see your way. This is one of the reason I think you shouldn't be allowed back in yet
