@saba1030 He shouldn't pay for it, but neither he should have proposed only a strict policy which damaged those countries more and arguably benefited him and his country. Being in an union doesn't mean curbstomp other to get a little advantage. Beside, when Germany was in the same situation, they were showed mercy

@saba1030 Germany didn't have anything in order when it was showed mercy by other Europeans, allowing them to recover. That's what you do in an union. You don't strangle a partner for your own benefit. If EU is still standing is because of ECB quantitative easing, not austerity

@saba1030 I'm talking about 90s early 200s...when Germany was in deep trouble but other countries chose to show compassion rather than twisting the knife Uh, yes, what Germany and French did they did for they own interest, not Greeks 🙄 Germany wasn't always. And it isn't the only one who fund EU

I agree he was a good minister for his country but for an United Europe he was a disaster
